The BTA Negotiations Team met with the district to resolve the
question of restoring the remaining instructional/staff development
days. In the initial district proposal, the district offered only
three days to be restored. BTA told the district that this offer was
unacceptable and countered with a proposal that included the
restoration of all four days. We continue to work on your behalf to
resolve this issue in the near future.
Additionally, BTA presented the district with a proposal that would
raise the medical benefits cap from $9,769 to $11,769 effective
January 1, 2011. We expect to receive a counter offer from the
district at our next bargaining session on November 3, 2010.
